When during my teenager time, I am being advised by my parent to make the decision on my own especially when I intend to buy some products. I know for you guys think that independent will be good for me in future. But it is kinda hard for me when I’m still young especially when I have to deal with a lot of brands to just buy a product. This condition we have normally known it as consumer hyperchoice where we have too many options to choose that may intend to drain our psychological energy and decrease the ability to make a smarter choice.

Around two weeks ago, I have enrolled in one of the photography class and with this course, I have taken I would need to buy a data storage drive for me to save my photo. With these, the decision-making process occurs on which data storage drive should I buy. In other words, it also known as Engel- Kollat- Blackwell model of consumer behaviour (EKB) have madee a huge benefit for me on which steps that I needed to take before purchasing. Below are the steps on these EKB model :

Steps 1: Need Recognition

• I need a Data Storage drive with me whenever i need to save my photo.

Steps 2: Search for Information

• I surfs the internet on which data storage drive should I buy. I begin to find out the variety of data storage drive such as is it portable and which storage size that would suit me.

Steps 3: Evaluation of Alternatives

• From the characteristic of the data storage drive that I have mentioned above, the evoked set of product that I will be choosing will be USB flash drive. In the evoked set there are several brands that are selling the same things.

Steps 4: Product Decision

• From all of the evoked set, i have chosen SanDisk 64GB USB flash drive because USB flash drive is much more easy to carry around compare to Portable Hard drive. In addition, this flash drive is also offering water proof function which is totally a big win on the benefits compare with others.

Steps 5: Post-Purchase Evaluation

• After of using one week, the flash drive is pretty good and the transfer rate is pretty fast. So far I am quite satisfying on the SanDish flash drive as there is no sign of faulty and it also offering lifetime warranty to me.
